Biography
Marg Helgenberger is an American actress. She was born Mary Margaret Helgenberger on 16 November 1958 in Fremont, Nebraska, and graduated with a B.S. in speech and drama from Northwestern University.
She began her career in the early 1980s with a role as Siobhan Ryan on the soap opera Ryan's Hope (1982–1986). Helgenberger gained wider recognition for playing K.C. Koloski in China Beach (1988–1991), for which she won the 1990 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She is best known for portraying Catherine Willows in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000–2013) and its sequel series CSI: Vegas (2022–2024). Other notable film roles include Dr. Laura Baker in Species (1995) and Donna Jensen in Erin Brockovich (2000).
