Biography
Marik Vos-Lundh (née Ericsson; 3 June 1923 – 13 July 1994) was a Swedish costume designer, production designer and set designer. Born in Petrograd (now Saint Petersburg) to a Swedish father and Russian mother, her family moved to Sweden in 1932. She studied decorative painting and related subjects at Konstfack and the Otte Skölds School of Painting, and trained in scenography at the Royal Dramatic Theatre (Dramaten) in Stockholm.
She joined Dramaten in 1946, rising to roles including decorations chief and planning leader, while working on productions with directors such as Ingmar Bergman. Vos-Lundh collaborated with Bergman on more than twenty years of film work. Her credits include costume design on The Virgin Spring (1960), The Silence (1963) and Cries and Whispers (1972), for which she was also production designer, and Fanny and Alexander (1982).
She received three Academy Award nominations for Best Costume Design, winning for Fanny and Alexander in 1984. She was also nominated for a British Academy Film Award for the same film.
