Biography
Mark Worthington is a production designer and art director whose credits include the pilot episodes of the television series Lost (2004). He has worked extensively in television, serving as production designer on Ugly Betty (2006–2010), the first five seasons of American Horror Story (2011–2015), Watchmen (2019), The Umbrella Academy (2019), Mythic Quest (2020) and WandaVision (2021).
Worthington began his career while a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon, contributing to the film Two Evil Eyes (1990). His earlier work as an art director includes Tombstone (1993), Wag the Dog (1997) and Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002). He holds a B.A. in Theatre from Reed College and an M.F.A. in Scene Design from Carnegie Mellon, and teaches in the MFA Production Design program at UCLA, which he helped establish. He has received nine Primetime Emmy nominations, winning for WandaVision, and multiple Art Directors Guild awards.
