Biography
Marnie McPhail, also credited as Marnie McPhail-Diamond, is an American-born Canadian actress and musician. She began her career at age 14 as Annie Edison in the Canadian children's series The Edison Twins (1984–1986). She trained at the Etobicoke School of the Arts in Toronto after moving there from her birthplace of Columbus, Ohio.
McPhail has appeared in numerous television series and films, including guest roles in The X-Files, Star Trek: Voyager, ER, Beverly Hills, 90210, La Femme Nikita and Sliders, and parts in Queer as Folk (2000–2004), The Greatest Game Ever Played (2005), Dream Scenario (2023) and Trap (2024) as Jody's Mom. She is also known for voice work in animated series such as Braceface and JoJo's Circus.
In 2004 she married actor Reed Diamond, whom she met on the set of the 2002 television film Scared Silent. She is the lead singer of the rock band Chuck Valiant, in which Diamond plays guitar.
