Biography
Matt Gerald is an American actor. Born on 2 May 1970 in Miami, Florida, he is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
He is known for his role as Corporal Lyle Wainfleet in James Cameron's Avatar (2009) and its sequels, including Avatar: The Way of Water (2022). Other film credits include Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003), San Andreas (2015), Bright (2017) and Rampage (2018). On television he has appeared in Dexter (2012) as Ray Speltzer and as Melvin Potter in Daredevil (2015–2018). He is also credited in the 2026 film Animals.
