Biography

Matt Murray is an American television writer and producer. He began his career as a writer on Saturday Night Live in the early 2000s before contributing episodes to Community (2009) and Parks and Recreation (2009).

Murray has written for Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013), The Good Place (2016), Girls5eva (2021), Loot (2022) and other series. He co-created the NBC sitcom Sunnyside (2019). He shared a Primetime Emmy Award for his work on Saturday Night Live and received a Writers Guild of America nomination for Parks and Recreation.
