Biography
Matt Weitzman is an American television writer and producer. Born in Los Angeles, California, on 13 November 1967, he graduated from American University with a degree in communications.
He was an original writer on the animated series Family Guy (1999) and co-created American Dad! (2005) with Seth MacFarlane and Mike Barker, serving as its showrunner. He has also written for The PJs (1999) and Father of the Pride (2004). Weitzman received Primetime Emmy nominations for his work on Family Guy and American Dad!. He is married to Tessa Weitzman, daughter of screenwriter Jeffrey Boam.
