Biography
Michael Shipley is an American television writer and producer. He studied at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and began his career writing and performing with sketch comedy groups in Los Angeles after graduation.
His writing credits include episodes of Family Guy (1999–2003), American Dad! (2005–2008), My Name Is Earl (2005–2009), Better Off Ted (2009–2010), Last Man Standing (2011–2017) and Mom (2013–2019). He served as executive producer on Last Man Standing and co-developed and wrote for the animated series Mother Up! (2013) with Eva Longoria. Shipley has received Emmy nominations for his work.
