Biography
Matthew Gray Gubler is an American actor and director. Born on 9 March 1980 in Las Vegas, Nevada, he is best known for portraying Dr. Spencer Reid in the CBS series Criminal Minds (2005–2020), appearing in all 15 seasons of the original run, and for directing 12 episodes of the show.
Gubler has also appeared in films including The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004), RV (2006), (500) Days of Summer (2009) and Life After Beth (2014). He provided the voice of Simon in the Alvin and the Chipmunks film series (2007–2015).
