Biography
Justin Jacob Long is an American actor, comedian, writer and producer. He was born on 2 June 1978 in Fairfield, Connecticut, and attended Vassar College, where he performed with the comedy troupe Laughingstock.
Long began his screen career in the late 1990s. He is known for roles in Galaxy Quest (1999), Jeepers Creepers (2001), DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story (2004), Accepted (2006), Idiocracy (2006) as Doctor, Live Free or Die Hard (2007), Drag Me to Hell (2009), He's Just Not That Into You (2009), Barbarian (2022) and Weapons (2025). He voiced Alvin Seville in the live-action Alvin and the Chipmunks film series and appeared in Apple's "Get a Mac" advertising campaign (2006–2009).
He has also worked in television, including the series Ed (2000–2004), F Is for Family (2015–2021) and Goosebumps (2023). Long is married to actress Kate Bosworth.
