Biography
Maximilian Mauff, also credited as Max Mauff, is a German actor born in Berlin on 3 July 1987. He began acting as a child in Berlin theatre groups and short films directed by Aelrun Goette. His first leading film role came in 2002 as Tristan in The Year of the First Kiss.
Mauff has appeared in German television and film productions, including a recurring role as Jonas in the series Stromberg and its 2014 film adaptation. He played a lead role in Patong Girl (2014), for which he received a Grimme Award in 2016, and Fuß in the single-take film Victoria (2015). He has also featured in international productions such as Bridge of Spies (2015), Sense8 (2015), A Hidden Life (2019), The Matrix Resurrections (2021) and The Phoenician Scheme (2025). Mauff is known for roles in the series Babylon Berlin.
