Biography
Michael Andrews is an animation editor. He served as lead editor on the feature Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023). For this work he received the American Cinema Editors award for Best Edited Animated Feature Film and the Annie Award for Best Editorial – Feature. He is editing the sequel Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Andrews has more than twenty-five years’ experience in animation. He began editing television series including Ren & Stimpy, Duckman and Spawn. He spent twenty years at DreamWorks Animation, where his credits include Shrek (2001), Shrek 2 (2004), Shrek the Third (2007), Megamind (2010), Rise of the Guardians (2012) and Mr. Peabody & Sherman (2014). Later projects include Wish Dragon (2021), The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run (2020) and Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank (2022). He attended graduate school in film and animation at the University of California, Los Angeles.
