Biography
Michael D. Ornstein is a film and television editor, also credited as Michael Ornstein and Michael Ornstein, ACE. He began his career in the editorial department, serving as associate editor on the 1981 film Halloween II.
Ornstein edited episodes of the series Miami Vice (1984) and Law & Order (1990). His later credits include Californication (2007–2014), V (2009), The Big C (2010), Madam Secretary (2014–2018) and the television film Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee (2007).
He won a Primetime Emmy Award for outstanding single-camera picture editing for a miniseries or movie for Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee.
