Biography

Michael Tucker is an American actor born on 6 February 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland. He is a graduate of Baltimore City College and Carnegie Mellon University.

Tucker is best known for playing Stuart Markowitz in the television series L.A. Law (1986–1994), for which he received three Primetime Emmy Award nominations and two Golden Globe nominations. His film credits include Diner (1982) as Bagel, The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985) as Gil's Agent, Radio Days (1987) as Father, and Eyes of Laura Mars (1978) as Bert. He has also appeared in Network (1976), Tin Men (1987), For Love or Money (1993) and D2: The Mighty Ducks (1994).

Tucker has worked with directors including Woody Allen, Barry Levinson and Lina Wertmüller. He is married to actress Jill Eikenberry, with whom he co-starred in L.A. Law.
