Biography
Mike Hagerty was an American actor born on 10 May 1954 in Chicago, Illinois. He died on 5 May 2022 in Los Angeles, California. He was known for playing comedic blue-collar characters, with recurring television roles including Mr Treeger, the building superintendent, on Friends and Captain McGintley on Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Hagerty began acting after being invited by Jim Belushi to join the Second City improv group in Chicago. He appeared in numerous films and television series from the 1980s onwards, including small roles in Wayne's World (1992), Speed 2: Cruise Control (1997) as Harvey, and the Austin Powers films. He also had roles on Seinfeld, Grey's Anatomy and Community, and was a regular on The George Carlin Show. One of his final roles was in the HBO series Somebody Somewhere.
