Biography
Mike Molloy is an Australian cinematographer. Born in Sydney on 5 January 1940, he began working in the film industry in 1958 as a camera assistant at Cinesound Productions. He moved to the United Kingdom in 1967 and worked as a camera operator on films including Performance (1970), A Clockwork Orange (1971), Walkabout (1971) and Barry Lyndon (1975).
Molloy returned to Australia and made his debut as director of photography on Mad Dog Morgan (1975). His subsequent credits as cinematographer include The Shout (1978), The Hit (1984), Scandal (1989), Bliss (1997), All the Little Animals (1998) and Shiner (2000). He was inducted into the Australian Cinematographers Society Hall of Fame in 2013.
