Biography
MyAnna Buring is a Swedish-born British actress. She was born My Margaretha Anna Buring Rantapää on 22 September 1979 in Sundsvall, Sweden.
She grew up in the Middle East, attending the American British Academy in Muscat, Oman, before moving to the United Kingdom at the age of 16. Buring studied drama at the University of Bristol and graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in 2004.
Buring is known for her role as Sam in the horror film The Descent (2005) and its sequel The Descent: Part 2 (2009). Other credits include The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 (2011) and Part 2 (2012) as Tanya Denali, the BBC series Downton Abbey (2010) as Edna Braithwaite, and the Netflix series The Witcher (2019–2023) as Tissaia de Vries.
