Biography
Nancy Malone (born Ann Josefa Maloney) was an American actress, director and producer. Born in Queens Village, New York, she began acting as a child and made her Broadway debut in Time Out for Ginger at the age of 17. She appeared in numerous television series in the 1950s and 1960s, including a recurring role as Libby Kingston in Naked City (1960–1963), for which she received an Emmy nomination.
Malone later moved into producing and directing. In 1976 she became the first woman to serve as vice-president of television at 20th Century Fox. Her directing credits include episodes of Cagney & Lacey (1988), Dynasty, Melrose Place, Beverly Hills, 90210, Star Trek: Voyager and Dawson's Creek. She won a Primetime Emmy Award for producing the 1993 special Bob Hope: The First 90 Years and was nominated for directing episodes of Sisters and The Trials of Rosie O'Neill. She died in Duarte, California, in 2014.
