Biography
Nicholas Campbell is a Canadian actor and filmmaker. Born on 24 March 1952 in Toronto, he was raised in Montreal and studied at Queen's University before training at the Drama Studio London and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in England.
He is known for his leading role as coroner Dominic Da Vinci in the television series Da Vinci's Inquest (1998–2005) and its spin-off Da Vinci's City Hall (2005–2006). Campbell has collaborated with director David Cronenberg on several films, including The Dead Zone (1983) and Naked Lunch (1991), in which he played Hank. Other credits include Cinderella Man (2005) and Goon (2011).
A four-time Gemini Award winner, he has also directed episodes of Da Vinci's Inquest and the music documentary Stepping Razor: Red X (1992).
