Biography
Nicholas Pryor was an American character actor. Born Nicholas David Probst on 28 January 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland, he trained at the Gilman School and Yale University before beginning his career on stage in the 1950s.
He appeared in numerous films, including Airplane! (1980), Risky Business (1983) as Joel's father, Less Than Zero (1987) and Doctor Sleep (2019). His television work included recurring roles in soap operas such as Port Charles (1997–2002) as Victor Collins, and Beverly Hills, 90210 (1994–1997). Pryor also had stage credits on Broadway.
Pryor died on 7 October 2024 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
