Biography
Nikki Amuka-Bird is a British actress of stage, television and film. Born in Delta State, Nigeria, she was raised in England, Lagos and Antigua, and trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). She began her career with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
She is known for television roles including Erin Gray in Luther (2010–2013), Celia in Small Island (2009) and Natalie in NW (2016), for which she received a BAFTA Television Award nomination. Film credits include Jupiter Ascending (2015), The Laundromat (2019), Old (2021), The Outfit (2022), Persuasion (2022) and Knock at the Cabin (2023). She has also appeared in numerous stage productions, including at the National Theatre and Bristol Old Vic.
