Biography
Nozomu Takahashi is a Japanese animation producer and production manager. Born on 4 October 1960 in Tokyo, he began his career in the late 1980s with assistant and production roles on anime projects.
He worked extensively in production management at Studio Ghibli on films including Only Yesterday (1991), Porco Rosso (1992), Ocean Waves (1993), Pom Poko (1994), Spirited Away (2001) and Howl's Moving Castle (2004). As a producer he is credited on The Cat Returns (2002), Summer Wars (2009), Wolf Children (2012), The Boy and the Beast (2015), Mirai (2018) and Belle (2021), among others, often in collaboration with directors such as Mamoru Hosoda and studios including Madhouse and Nippon Television.
