Biography

Patrick Cranshaw, also credited as J. Pat Cranshaw, was an American character actor. Born Joseph Patrick Cranshaw on 17 June 1919 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, he died on 28 December 2005 in Fort Worth, Texas. He began his screen career in the 1950s with uncredited roles and made his first credited film appearance in The Amazing Transparent Man (1960).

Cranshaw appeared in numerous films and television series over more than 40 years, often in supporting parts as bank tellers, managers or grandfathers. His credits include an uncredited role as a Bank Teller in Bonnie and Clyde (1967), Editor on Studio Lot (uncredited) in Ed Wood (1994), Ancient Sorter in The Hudsucker Proxy (1994), Hobo in Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985), and Joseph "Blue" Pulaski in Old School (2003). He also appeared in Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005) and episodes of series including Monk and Married... with Children.
