Biography

Patrick J. Palmer was an American film producer and production manager. Born in Los Angeles, he began his career working with the Mirisch Company as a production manager on films including West Side Story (1961) and Seven Days in May (1964). He later served as associate producer on Fiddler on the Roof (1971) and Rollerball (1975).

Palmer had a long association with director Norman Jewison, collaborating on several films including The Landlord (1970), Fiddler on the Roof, ...And Justice for All (1979), Best Friends (1982), Iceman (1984), Agnes of God (1985), Moonstruck (1987) and Mermaids (1990). He received Academy Award nominations for Best Picture as a producer on A Soldier's Story (1984), Children of a Lesser God (1986) and Moonstruck.

His other producing credits include Don Juan DeMarco (1995), Blade II (2002), Hellboy (2004) and Little Children (2006). He died in 2020.
