Biography
Paul A. Kaufman is a British-born film and television director, producer and writer. Born in London on 2 December 1964, he studied acting at the Actors Studio in New York and began his career in Hollywood as a messenger before managing actors.
He made his directorial debut with the Showtime television film Run the Wild Fields (2000). Kaufman has directed episodes of series including The Mentalist (2008), Grimm (2011), NCIS: Los Angeles and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders (2016). His television movies include Magic Beyond Words: The J.K. Rowling Story (2011) and The Messengers (2015). He also directed the feature film Butter (2022). He has received multiple Emmy Awards for his television work.
