Biography
Norberto Barba is an American television and film director. Born on 12 September 1963 in the Bronx, New York, he studied at Regis High School in New York City, spent two years at Columbia University, and graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts before becoming a Director Fellow at the American Film Institute.
Barba made his directorial debut with the 1992 short film Chavez Ravine and went on to direct the features Blue Tiger (1994) and Solo (1996), as well as the television movie Apollo 11 (1996). He has directed numerous episodes of series including Better Call Saul (2015), Grimm (2011), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999), Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001), The Mentalist (2008), Fringe (2008), The Strain (2014) and S.W.A.T. (2017), and has also served as a producer on several of these programmes. He received an Imagen Award for his work on Better Call Saul.
