Biography
Paul Lazarus is an American director, producer and writer of television, film and theatre. He graduated from Dartmouth College and apprenticed with the Royal Shakespeare Company in England. In the early 1990s he served as artistic director of the Pasadena Playhouse.
Lazarus has directed episodes of numerous television series, including Friends (1994), Better Off Ted (2009), Pretty Little Liars (2010), Psych (2006), The Middle (2009), Everybody Loves Raymond (1996), Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990), Ugly Betty (2006) and Las Vegas (2003). His feature film directorial debut was Seven Girlfriends (1999). He has also directed plays and musicals, and produced and directed a 75th birthday tribute to Stephen Sondheim at the Hollywood Bowl.
