Biography
Peter Banifaz, also credited as Payam Banifaz or Payam Banifazl, is an Iranian actor and comedian based in Los Angeles. Born Payam Banifazl in Tehran, Iran, he immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of eight. He holds an MBA from California Lutheran University and has performed improv and sketch comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade for over a decade.
His television credits include a recurring role as Farhad across three seasons of Shameless (2011), as well as appearances in Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013), Veep (2012), Silicon Valley (2014), Superstore (2015), Lethal Weapon (2016), Grand Crew and Night Court (2023). Film roles include the Alpha RV Officer in Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022), a sailor in Hail, Caesar! (2016), Doctor Mirione in Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far on Foot (2018), and Ben Haddad in Crime 101 (2026).
