Biography
Peter Breitmayer is an American actor. Born in Arcadia, California, he spent his formative years in Minneapolis and St Paul, Minnesota. He holds a BA in Theology from Gustavus Adolphus College and began his professional career in Minneapolis theatres, including as a company member, writer and improviser with Dudley Riggs' Brave New Workshop.
Breitmayer moved to Los Angeles in 1996. His film credits include Jingle All the Way (1996), A Serious Man (2009) as Mr Brandt, Horrible Bosses (2011), Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) as Gilbert Bingley, and Changeling (2008). On television he has appeared in How I Met Your Mother (2005), Grey's Anatomy (2005), The Middle (2009–2018) as Pete Miller, and Fargo (2014) as Lt Ben Schmidt. He has also worked extensively in stage productions, including national tours and shows in Los Angeles.
