Biography
Peter Hermann is an American actor. Born on 15 August 1967 in New York City, he spent much of his early childhood in Germany before returning to the United States at the age of ten. He studied at Yale University.
Hermann began his career in the late 1990s with roles in television, including a recurring part as defence attorney Trevor Langan on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit from 2002. He has appeared in films such as United 93 (2006), Edge of Darkness (2010), Trouble with the Curve (2012) and Philomena (2013), in which he played Pete Olsson. His other notable television work includes Charles Brooks in Younger (2015–2021) and Jack Boyle in Blue Bloods (2012–2024). He has also performed on Broadway.
In 2004 he married actress Mariska Hargitay, whom he met on the set of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
