Biography

Peter Levy is an Australian cinematographer. Born in Sydney, New South Wales, he has been a member of the Australian Cinematographers Society since 1983 and the American Society of Cinematographers since 2000.

He is known for his collaborations with director Stephen Hopkins on feature films including A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child (1989), Predator 2 (1990), Judgment Night (1993), Blown Away (1994), Lost in Space (1998) and The Reaping (2007), as well as Broken Arrow (1996) and Race (2016). His television credits include episodes of 24 (2001–02), the pilot of Californication (2007), House of Lies (2012–15), MacGyver (2016–17) and one episode of Homeland (2020). He won the Australian Cinematographers Society Cinematographer of the Year award for Predator 2 and received two Primetime Emmy Awards.
