Biography

Phaldut 'Paul' Sharma is a British actor and dancer. He was born on 10 July 1989 in London to Guyanese Hindu parents and moved to Newport, Wales, during his youth. He trained at the Guildford School of Acting.

Sharma is known for his roles in Alfonso Cuarón films, including Ian in Children of Men (2006) and the voice of Shariff in Gravity (2013). On television he has played Sanj in The Office (2001), Achmed in Gavin & Stacey, AJ Ahmed in EastEnders (2012–2014), and DCI Ram Sidhu in Unforgotten. He has also performed as a Sammy Davis Jr tribute act in West End productions and web series.
