Biography
Phil Augusta Jackson is a writer, producer, actor and musician. He has written episodes of Insecure (2016), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013) and Key & Peele (2012), and created the series Grand Crew (2021). He has also acted in guest roles including on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Good Place (2016), Never Have I Ever (2020) and Insecure.
A native of Yardley, Pennsylvania, Jackson graduated from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce. He worked in advertising in New York before moving to Los Angeles around the age of 30 to pursue comedy and writing. He has received Emmy, Writers Guild of America and NAACP award nominations.
