Biography
Ravil Isyanov was a Russian actor who appeared in over 70 film and television roles, primarily in the United States. He was born on 20 August 1962 in Voskresensk, Moscow Oblast, then part of the Soviet Union, and died on 29 September 2021 in Los Angeles.
Isyanov served in the Soviet Air Force before training at the MKhAT Studio-School in Moscow, graduating in 1990. He also studied at the British American Drama Academy's Oxford programme. He began his professional career in Wales with Theatr Clwyd and later moved to Los Angeles in 1998.
His film credits include GoldenEye (1995), The Jackal (1997), Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), The Good German (2006) as General Sikorsky, Defiance (2008) and Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011). On television he had recurring roles in NCIS: Los Angeles as Anatoli Kirkin and The Americans.
