Biography
Raymond Menmuir (1930–2016) was a British-Australian television director and producer. He began his career in Australia as a newspaper reporter before joining the Australian Broadcasting Commission, first as a radio producer and then directing drama for television from the late 1950s, including early live productions such as The Life and Death of King Richard II (1960).
In 1961 he moved to the United Kingdom, where he directed episodes of series including Z-Cars (1962), The Avengers (1961) and Upstairs, Downstairs (1971). He later produced 44 episodes of The Professionals (1977) for London Weekend Television and returned to Australia for projects such as Special Squad (1984).
