Biography
Raymond S. Persi is an American animator, director, storyboard artist and voice actor. He began working on The Simpsons (1989) as a character layout artist before directing ten episodes between 2005 and 2010, including the Emmy Award-winning 'The Seemingly Never-Ending Story'. He also served as an additional sequence director on The Simpsons Movie (2007).
In 2010 Persi joined Walt Disney Animation Studios, where he contributed as a storyboard artist on Wreck-It Ralph (2012) and Frozen (2013). He provided voices for Gene and a zombie in Wreck-It Ralph, additional voices in Frozen, and Flash the sloth in Zootopia (2016) and its sequel Zootopia 2 (2025). Earlier in his career he co-directed the animated music video 'Ghost of Stephen Foster' (2000) for Squirrel Nut Zippers.
