Biography
Richard Cordery is a British actor born on 19 July 1950. His television credits include a prosecution barrister in Rumpole of the Bailey (1988), Dennis Dodds in Doc Martin, George Collier in Whitechapel, Sir Sampson Wright in Garrow's Law, and multiple roles in Midsomer Murders (2004, 2010, 2014). He appeared as Mr Croft in Small Axe (2020) and as Duke Hussey in The Crown (2022).
In film, Cordery played the Duc De Raguse in Les Misérables (2012), Uncle Desmond in About Time (2013), Hal Bowman in The Wife (2017), and Louis B. Mayer in Judy (2019). He has also appeared in Mr. Turner (2014) and Madame Bovary (2015). Much of his career has been in theatre, including Shakespeare productions such as Romeo and Juliet (1997), Henry VI (2000), Richard III (2001), Macbeth (2004), and The Winter's Tale.
