Biography

Richard Cunningham is an English actor. He was born on 14 June 1967 in Hove, Sussex, and trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

His stage work includes a role in the 1995 production of Tom Stoppard's Indian Ink at the Aldwych Theatre. On television he has appeared in Sherlock (2010), Dancing on the Edge (2013) as Ryall, The Witcher (2019) and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story (2023) as Lord Bute.

Film credits include the Businessman in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011), Provost in The Quiet Ones (2014), Mr Watkins in 45 Years (2015), Hobson in The Man Who Knew Infinity (2016), General Ramda in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) and Harvey in Living (2022).
