Biography
Richard Foronjy was an American character actor. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he began his screen career in 1973 with a small role in Serpico and went on to appear in dozens of films and television series until the early 2000s.
He is known for roles including Tony Darvo in Midnight Run (1988), Pete Amadesso in Carlito's Way (1993), Arnold Plettschner in Repo Man (1984) and appearances in Once Upon a Time in America (1984), Ghostbusters II (1989) and Serpico (1973). Earlier in life he served time in prison for armed robbery before turning to acting. In 2020 he published the memoir From the Mob to the Movies.
