Biography
Richard Kiel was an American actor. Born Richard Dawson Kiel on 13 September 1939 in Detroit, Michigan, he died on 10 September 2014 in Fresno, California.
He appeared in numerous films and television series from the late 1950s, often in roles that drew on his height. His credits include the alien Kanamit in the 1962 episode of The Twilight Zone, Ali in I Dream of Jeannie (1965), and an uncredited role in The Nutty Professor (1963). He played Club in Pale Rider (1985).
Kiel is known for portraying Jaws in the James Bond films The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) and Moonraker (1979), Mr. Larson in Happy Gilmore (1996), and the voice of Vlad in Tangled (2010). He was married to Diane Rogers from 1974 until his death.
