Biography
Sir Roger Moore (14 October 1927 – 23 May 2017) was an English actor. He played James Bond in seven Eon Productions films: Live and Let Die (1973), The Man with the Golden Gun (1974), The Spy Who Loved Me (1977), Moonraker (1979), For Your Eyes Only (1981), Octopussy (1983) and A View to a Kill (1985).
On television, Moore starred as Simon Templar in the series The Saint (1962–1969) and appeared in Maverick (1960–1961) and The Persuaders! (1971–1972). He played The Chief in the film Spice World (1997).
Moore was appointed a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 1991 and was knighted in 2003 for services to charity.
