Biography
Richard Lewis was an American actor and stand-up comedian. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on 29 June 1947, he began performing comedy in New York clubs in the early 1970s after studying at Ohio State University.
He appeared in films such as Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993) as Prince John and Leaving Las Vegas (1995) as Peter. Lewis played a semi-fictionalised version of himself in the HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000–2024) and voiced roles in animated series including The Simpsons and BoJack Horseman. He died on 27 February 2024.
