Biography
Richard Riddell is an English actor born on 31 May 1984 in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) between 2003 and 2006, and was a member of the National Youth Theatre. He also studied at Southmoor Academy and Sunderland College.
Riddell is known for television roles including Tom Fenton in the BBC series Bodyguard (2018) and DS Alan Jago in Endeavour (2013). His other credits include Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) as a First Order officer, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009), Robin Hood (2010), Blitz (2011), Misfits (2009), Merlin (2008), House of the Dragon (2022) and Foundation (2021). He has worked extensively in theatre with companies including the Royal Shakespeare Company and Shakespeare's Globe.
