Biography
Richard Timothy Jones (born 16 January 1972) is an American actor. Born in Kobe, Japan, to American parents, he grew up in California, attended Bishop Montgomery High School and graduated from Tuskegee University.
Jones has worked in film and television since the early 1990s. His film roles include Laveinio 'Slim' Hightower in The Wood (1999), Traffic Cop #1 in Collateral (2004), Mike in Why Did I Get Married? (2007) and its 2010 sequel, Overmyer in Super 8 (2011), and Captain Russell Hampton in Godzilla (2014). On television he has appeared in Judging Amy (1999–2005), Grey's Anatomy (2010), Hawaii Five-0 (2011–2014), Lucifer (2016), Criminal Minds (2017) and, since 2018, as Police Sergeant Wade Grey in The Rookie.
