Biography
Robert W. Laing is a British production designer, art director and set decorator. He worked on numerous films from the late 1960s to 2000, often credited as Bob Laing, with early roles including assistant art director and set decorator.
Laing shared an Academy Award for Best Art Direction for Gandhi (1982) with Stuart Craig and Michael Seirton. He received a further nomination in the same category for Travels with My Aunt (1972). His credits include art direction on True Lies (1994), Rollerball (1975) and several James Bond films, and production design on The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter (1990) and Rules of Engagement (2000).
