Biography

Robin Weigert is an American actress. She was born on 7 July 1969 in Washington, D.C., and trained at Brandeis University, graduating in 1991, before earning an MFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

She began her career in New York theatre, appearing in Broadway productions including Twelfth Night and Noises Off. Weigert is best known for her portrayal of Calamity Jane in the HBO series Deadwood (2004–2006), for which she received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Her film roles include Hannelore in The Good German (2006) and Abby in Concussion (2013). Other notable television work encompasses Sons of Anarchy (2010–2013), Big Little Lies (2017–2019) and Smile (2022).
