Biography
Rupert Ryle-Hodges is a British television and film producer. He began his career in the 1980s as a third assistant director on feature films including Hellraiser (1987) and Paperhouse (1988), later working as first assistant director on titles such as Naked (1993) and Hilary and Jackie (1998).
He moved into production roles in the late 1990s, serving as associate producer on the BBC series Wives and Daughters (1999). Subsequent credits include co-producer on Cranford (2007–2009) and Stuart: A Life Backwards (2007), line producer on Mad Dogs (2011), and producer on Downton Abbey (2013), The Hollow Crown (2012–2016), Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams (2017) and Britannia (2019–2021). He received a Primetime Emmy nomination for outstanding drama series for his work on Downton Abbey.
