Biography
Ryan Lott is an American composer, musician and performer. He is the founding member of the experimental trio Son Lux, with Rafiq Bhatia and Ian Chang, and has written scores for film, dance and video games.
Lott was born in Denver, Colorado, in 1979 and studied composition and piano at Indiana University. Son Lux scored the 2022 film Everything Everywhere All at Once, which received Academy Award and BAFTA nominations for best original score. Lott has also composed for Paper Towns (2015), Mean Dreams (2017), The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby (2014) and The Greatest Hits (2024). As Son Lux, the group provided the orchestral score for the Marvel Studios film Thunderbolts* (2025), recorded at Abbey Road Studios.
