Biography
Saar Klein is an Israeli-American film editor. Born in 1967 in Israel, he moved to the United States with his family as a child and graduated with a BA in psychology from Vassar College in 1989. He began his career with an internship on JFK (1991) and an apprenticeship on Heaven & Earth (1993).
Klein received Academy Award nominations for Best Film Editing for The Thin Red Line (1998) and Almost Famous (2000), winning an ACE Eddie Award for the latter. His other editing credits include The Bourne Identity (2002), The New World (2005), Jumper (2008) and Masters of the Air (2024). He edited Gus Van Sant's Dead Man's Wire (2025). Klein has also directed the feature After the Fall (2014).
