Biography
Sahajak Boonthanakit, also credited as Pu Sahajak Boonthanakit or Jak Boon, is a Thai actor. Born in Bangkok, he lived in Nairobi, Kenya for over a decade from childhood, where he began acting on stage at the Kenya National Theatre for four years, and later spent more than twenty years in New York before returning to Thailand.
He made his film debut in Brokedown Palace (1999) as Sgt. Choy, followed by a role as a travel agent in The Beach (2000). Boonthanakit has appeared in over 100 productions, including The Lady (2011), Only God Forgives (2013) as Kim, No Escape (2015) as Kenny Rogers, Thirteen Lives (2022) as Governor Narongsak Osatanakorn, and Alien: Earth (2025) as Chief Nagg. He received the Thailand International Film Destination award in 2015 for his contributions to foreign films shot in Thailand. His upcoming credits include Fall 2: Deadpoint (2026) as Thai Barman.
